In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, it has become harder for many to access food, from long grocery lines to restaurants closing. In an effort to make it easier for users to send to-go meals to families and loved ones, Uber Eats recently added a new feature that lets customers send food to friends, family or coworkers and share details to make it easier track the deliveries. The update will work "across state lines — even oceans," which will be especially useful for the upcoming Mother's Day weekend.
To kick off the new feature, Uber Eats partnered with Starbucks to treat a friend to a coffee with the new #SendACup campaign.
