Expanded Food Delivery Apps

Instacart Partners with Uber Eats to Expand its Delivery Services

Instacart is collaborating with Uber Eats to expand its delivery services to include restaurants. As a part of the deal, Instacart will launch a new 'Restaurants' tab to invite consumers to order takeout throughout its app. Notably, Instacart+ members placing orders from these restaurants will enjoy the same offer as Instacart's grocery customers: free delivery for orders exceeding $35.

Instacart assures that its drivers will still fulfill grocery orders solely, while Uber Eats couriers will complete restaurant orders.

“Our goal is to make it effortless for people to go anywhere and get anything,” said Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi in the press release. “We’re excited that this new strategic partnership with Instacart will bring the magic of Uber Eats to even more consumers, drive more business for restaurants, and create more earnings opportunities for couriers.”
