Lightbox Christmas Trees

Hello Wood's 'Tree of Arts' Will Be Recycled Once Taken Down

'Tree of Arts,' the latest installation from Hello Wood, is more than just a Christmas tree. Rather, the conical structure emphasizes sustainability by being constructed specifically for the purpose of being recycled in the nearby 'Palace of the Arts' building. Built in the plaza of that building in Budapest, Hungary, Tree of Arts is made entirely from lightboxes, giving it a unique and creative look that's nonetheless in line with the Christmas tradition.

Hello Wood is known for creating installations with a strong social backing. The Hungarian art collective recently created an interesting and metaphorical commemorative piece in Toronto, for example. Tree of Arts isn't even the collective's first Christmas tree installation -- it has previously installed in London, Manchester, and Geneva.
