Set to unveil at CES 2017, the BMW HoloActive Touch system is a new kind of interface that will help to bring the vehicle interior into the twenty-first century in a big way.

The BMW HoloActive Touch interface consists of a virtual touchscreen that enables drivers to select and interact with different functionalities by simply making gestures with their hands and fingers. This is paired with tactile feedback to let them know what they are doing rather than just relying on audio prompts.

The BMW HoloActive Touch system will also offer users further integration with the BMW Heads-Up Display as well as providing access to BMW Connected services. The new system identifies how the brand plans to enhance the in-car experience as autonomous driving comes closer to reality.
