Budweiser's new Tagwords campaign introduces a clever way for the brand to sidestep copyrights and get consumers to play an active part in discovering its strong link to music throughout history. There are countless pictures of Budweiser products in the hands of big-name musicians and the brand is now encouraging consumers to conduct their own searches for these iconic snapshots throughout history by providing precise strings of keywords that can be plugged into a search on Google. For instance, phrases like "1987 California hip-hop Budweiser" provide the proof of Budweiser's role in the music scene of the time.

The new campaign is currently running in Brazil and offers a look back on several decades of music history. Rather than offering easy-to-scan codes or URLs that link to a specific destination, Tagwords calls consumers into action into a different way.
