Stanley Saitowitz Creates a Ravine-Crossing Abode
Rachel — August 6, 2009 — Art & Design
For this project, Stanley Saitowitz and Natoma Architects decided to work with nature rather than fight it. The Bridge House is an interesting design, as it is not only a beautiful and spacious home, it bridges over a ravine.
The Bridge House design by Stanley Saitowitz employs the height of the house to its advantage, using the elevation as a place for a pool and deck, with the lower ground left for the ravine.
Implications - Different aspects of nature are being applied to a variety of business ventures. Green living is becoming an increasingly important feature of design and companies are seeing an expansion in their target demographic by integrating eco-friendly functions into a product. Multifunctional commodities are a great way to attract user attention and thus attracting them to the product.
