The packaging also reduces the amount of plastic content by 6% to give it a bit of a sustainable edge over the competition to boot.

Marketing Controller Neil Stewart commented on the Cathedral City side-opening cheese packs saying, "Research has told us that consumers are looking for ease and convenience when using their block of cheese. Hygienic handling and the ability to keep the cheese as fresh as possible were also key considerations and our new side-opening, re-sealable packs achieve all those things."
