Beyond nutrition bars and shakes, consumers can now find sources of protein in everything from cookies and ice cream to savory chips.
Quest Nutrition recently launched its 'Tortilla Style Protein Chips' as a snack that offers at least nine times the protein of conventional chips, as well as 75% lower net carbs. The savory chips have been introduced in both Nacho Cheese and Ranch varieties, based on popular flavors, and provide 18 to 19 grams of protein per bag.
Brands are responding to consumers who want to enjoy their healthy lifestyle in a well-balanced way by reinventing the snack food category and in particular, the "junk foods" within it. As Quest Nutrition already offers plenty of bars and cookies to sate a sweet tooth, these new savory snack chips offer a new protein-packed, low-carb option.
