Deliveroo is Sharing HOU Hummus for International Hummus Day

In celebration of International Hummus Day, Deliveroo is giving customers the chance to try products from HOU, a new sweet hummus brand that offers indulgent flavors like Chocolate, Banoffee Pie and Mixed Berry.

Over the past few years, the popularity of the Mediterranean spread has only continued to grow, with Deliveroo data showing an increase in the orders of the chickpea dish by 64.5% in 2017 and 2018. Although sweet hummus has already taken off in some parts of the world, Deliveroo prides itself on offering the first taste of dessert-inspired hummus to people in the UK.

At the same time consumers are becoming interested in protein-rich pulses, they are also becoming increasingly interested in better-for-you snacks with chickpea as a substitute—examples of this include eggless chickpea-based cookie dough or chickpea spreads that may be used as alternatives for nut butter.
