Musical Cartoon Hybrid Artwork

Robert Jiménez Turned Old Records into Superhero Works of Art

Instead of throwing away old records, Robert Jiménez used his collection and turned musicians into popular superheroes.

In his work, he has transformed the look of old record cases by intricately drawing numerous cartoons. Jiménez has taken the existing cover and then incorporated his drawings into the artwork that was already present.

He has taken artists such as Bette Midler, Herb Alpert & the Tijuana Brass and Albert Hague, and has turned their original cover art into Wonder Woman, Catwoman and Batman. This is an interesting way to use different mediums while drawing, and it is also eco-friendly, because he hasn't thrown away the record.

Robert Jiménez has shown that even if you own something that you aren't actively using, you can still turn it into an incredible piece of art.
