McDonald's Christmas campaign this year introduces a story called #ReindeerReady that sees a young girl determined to save a carrot from her fast food order for Santa's reindeer. While the child spends all day excitedly holding onto a carrot to leave out for the reindeer the night before Christmas, her older brother quips: ""You know there's more than one, right?" which prompts a trip to McDonald's once again.
The video from the #ReindeerReady campaign by McDonald's is being supported with a Snapchat partnership that introduces a hub on the social platform with special features. There's a carrot-collecting game, an augmented reality lens that shows dancing reindeer and lastly, there are new geofilters to try at various McDonald's restaurants throughout the UK. Additionally, consumers also have the chance to celebrate being #ReindeerReady with Christmas sweaters, novelty antlers and branded baubles.
