Cineplex's Playdium Brand is Designed for Teens and Families

After the success of 'The Rec Room' franchise, Cineplex is looking to expand that playful concept beyond Millennials, and its first attempt to do so has resulted in the revamped Playdium brand. The newly announced entertainment complexes, which are set to be opened in mid-sized communities across Canada, are geared towards teens, their friends, and family, offering up a massive space for active games and casual dining.

Complexes under the Playdium brand will be between 30,000 and 35,000 square feet, which means they'll have a wide variety of games and activities. Consumers can expect a selection of classic and new-to-market video games and unique interactive experiences like virtual reality. The playscapes will also feature physical activities like augmented climbing walls, bowling, rope courses, and two-level laser tag.
