American Vegan Breakfast Sandwiches

Flip'd by IHOP Introduced its First Plant-Based Menu Item

'Flip'd by IHOP,' the new fast-casual restaurant chain from IHOP, has debuted its first fully vegan sandwich named the 'Plant Based Cali.' This sandwich features a variety of collaborative plant-based products, such as 'Sweet Earth vegan sausage' and 'JUST egg.' On top of this, the sandwich has more standard toppings such as arugula, avocado, and tomatoes.

The sandwich is entirely vegan with mung-based eggs and a potato-based bun. The push for this new menu item came from the location's operator who believes that customers are demanding more healthy and sustainable options. This sandwich took two years for the brand to create, and has now passed its testing phase. However, the Plant Based Cali is currently only available at one Flip'd by IHOP location in New York City. If this menu item succeeds in the local market, it could be adapted across the restaurant chain.
