Blurred Multi-Layered Photography

Vitor Schietti Captured Pictures of Cities from Around the Globe

With his 'Extended Moments' project, Vitor Schietti's pictures of cities comment on the passing of time and the many things that happen in just a small space within them.

He accomplishes this by creating a layered look that comes from stacking different scenes of the same place on top of one another, making the images sometimes confusing to view as this can create a dizzying effect. While some of his pictures of cities show buildings blurred, others show tourists and locals alike interacting with the urban landscapes at different times throughout the day.

Although the images are blurred and sometimes difficult to make out, Vitor Schietti is careful to include iconic locations, such as New York City's Times Square, that especially stand out.
