Drink-Ordering Chatbots

The Pepsi 'Bot-tler' Took Drink Orders at the Fashion Forward Dubai Event

Rather than just creating a bar for Fashion Forward Dubai event attendees to line up and order from, Pepsi created the Pepsi Bot-tler Facebook Messenger chatbot.

Event attendees were able to either scan the Pepsi Messenger code on stands and banners at the event or search for the Pepsi Bot-tler within Facebook Messenger to get started. As a result, the chatbot offered options like the Pepsi Pimms, Pepsi Fizz or the Frozen Ground, which could be ordered in a conversational chat with the bot. After placing and confirming their order, event attendees were notified when their drink had been prepared.

While the bot was expressly created for the purpose of this event, the Pepsi Bot-tler could serve to inspire many food- and drink-ordering systems that are looking to increase engagement and efficiency.
