This Bulgarian Home Provides a Panoramic View of the Surrounding Area

Sofia, Bulgaria-based architectural firm I/O Architects designed a striking private residence that's meant to mimic the view and feel of an observation tower.

Located on a hill in North Eastern Bulgaria, the 'Observation House' sits above a series of stone-filled cages that give the site a rough and rugged exterior. Above the stones sits an elevated artificial meadow with a comfortable glass pavilion that provides a beautiful 360-degree view of the surrounding farmland.

Below the observation deck, an almost cave-like entrance has been built into the rocky exterior. Inside this observation tower home a polished stone and warm wood interior nicely contrasts with the stones that make up the rougher outside of the building. Additional amenities included in the Observation House also include a sauna, massage room and a personal pool area.
