Vegan Chocolate Oat Beverages

Trader Joe's Non-Dairy Chocolate Oat Beverage is 100% Plant-Based

Trader Joe's is giving vegans and dairy-free consumers a new way to enjoy the delicious taste of chocolate milk with the debut of its new Non-Dairy Chocolate Oat Beverage.

Inspired by the success of the brand's original Non-Dairy Oat Beverages, the new Non-Dairy Chocolate Oat Beverage puts a sweet twist on the dairy-free drink. The new product is a milk-like drink made from water and hydrolyzed (a process that breaks down starches) whole, rolled oats. The oat-based "milk" is then flavored with cocoa, cane sugar, a pinch of salt, and some other natural flavors to give it that rich chocolate taste. Gellan gum is also added to thicken the beverage and give it that creamy, real milk consistency. The result is a smooth and creamy drink with just the right amount of sweetness.
