New York Horizon is an award-winning architectural concept, drawn up by Yitan Sun and Jianshi Wu, that is designed around the unique idea of placing what is essentially a massive, sunken hole in the ground right in the Central Park area of New York.
New York City is known for its massive skyscrapers and towering structures, which is exactly why Yitan Sun and Jianshi Wu have envisioned the exact opposite -- a 1.3 square mile hole in the ground that will provide a truly unique natural environment that New Yorkers can enjoy. The concept imagines the park set within a perimeter of reflective glass.
Ultimately, the New York Horizon concept goes to get people thinking about how urban construction and development doesn't necessarily have to be done upwards whilst crowded up the skyline.
