Mexican Stew-Inspired Quesadillas

The New Birria Quesadilla is Native Foods' Chef Latest Special

Native Foods is putting a plant-based twist on birria this month with its new Birria Quesadilla.

For those unfamiliar, Birria is traditionally a spicy and savory Mexican beef stew featuring tender, fall-off-the-bone meat. For its latest monthly Chef’s Special, Native Foods is offering its own interpretation of the dish in the form of a quesadilla. The new Birria Quesadilla consists of plant-based birria beef and plant-based cheddar cheese stuffed into a flour tortilla. The tortilla is then brushed with the consommé before it's tossed on the griddle for an extra flavorful experience. The quesadilla is also served with a flavorful birria consommé that's topped with fresh onion and cilantro.

The new plant-based Birria Quesadilla is available now through the end of October at all Native Foods locations.
