Slow-Cooked Mexican Briskets

Qdoba Now Offers Brisket Birria at Locations in the U.s. and Canada

Qdoba is expanding its range of protein options with the debut of new Brisket Birria at participating locations in both the U.S. and Canada.

For those unfamiliar, Birria is a slow-cooked Mexican soup or stew that's usually made with goat meat, but sometimes made with beef or lamb. Qdoba is trying its hand at the recipe by serving up a new Brisket Birria, which consits of shredded beef brisket that's been slow-cooked for 10 hours in a savory stew of chiles and garlic. The new protein can be added to any 'Create Your Own' masterpiece, but it is also the star ingredient in two new dishes: the QuesaBirria Quesadilla and QuesaBirria Burrito. The QuesaBirria Quesadilla consists of a folded flour tortilla stuffed with the shredded Brisket Birria and other toppings, while the QuesaBirria Burrito pairs the Brisket Birria with 3-Cheese Queso, cilantro lime rice, black beans, and other toppings in a warm flour tortilla.
