The Miami Beckham United Stadium is Funded by the British Star

Back in his prime, David Beckham, the British soccer superstar, could do anything with a soccer ball, and now the famous former player is looking to pass on his legacy to a new generation of talent with an MLS team called Miami Beckham United. The Florida team hopes to gain entry into the MLS in the near future, and Beckham has recently surpassed a major milestone in that quest by securing land for a stadium.

The Miami Beckham United stadium has been designed in concept. Beckham appointed architecture firm Populous for the stadium; Populous is the same firm that designed the stadium for the London 2012 Olympic Games.

Miami Beckham United's stadium will sit in Miami-Dade county, and it will hold 25,000 spectators at full capacity. With such detailed plans in the works, Miami is almost certain to receive an MLS team. The major American city claims to be the number one soccer market in the US.
