Earlier this year, McDonald's introduced the vegetarian McVeggie in Norway, which can be made vegan-friendly by holding the cheese—now, McDonald's Finland is introducing an alternative to this with its McVegan. The vegan fast food burger is made with a soy patty, an egg-free McFeast sauce and other plant-based toppings. The new McDonald's burger is set to be served for an extremely limited time to gauge interest in the new product.
Alongside the McVegan, McDonald's is now also serving sides of vegan fries that are baked in vegetable oil in separate pots.
With a growing demand for plant-based alternatives, many consumers around the world can now find nut-based milk products at their favorite cafes and several restaurant businesses that have branched off with entirely plant-based menus.
