Artist Maisie Cousins introduces her latest art installation, 'Dipping Sauce,' where she questions the culture of social media -- specifically focusing on the food photographs that are popular on Instagram. Her exhibition is comprised of highly saturated images that zoom in on the reality of what food looks like -- that is unappealing and oily.
This brings up the question of why it is so commonly shared on social platforms and explores ideas of over-consumption. Cousins states that "this project is an amalgamation of all the things that I find charming and funny about food.” The Dipping Sauce installation is on display at the brand new London gallery 'Elephant West,' which also showcases her other works of prints, wallpapers, and light artwork.
