The realities of the COVID-19 pandemic has left many students with postponed courses and as a result, the language learning app Babbel is all students free access to its platform for one month. The brand hopes this will help students use their time at home productively and maintain cognitive activity.
Elisa Menozzi, Head of Northern and English-Speaking Markets at Babbel, comments: “As schools in Canada close, we want to help people who might now have their studies disrupted and find themselves with lots of time on their hands. As this global pandemic affects all corners of the earth, we are reminded more of what unites than divides us. Language is a connector, and so we are proud to be sharing the opportunity to learn with Canadian students of all ages.”
To be eligible for the free one-month access, students must enter a valid school email address for a coupon code. For non-students looking to make use of these services, Babbel is also offering a free seven-day trial for all new subscriptions through the Apple and Android app stores.
