Knafo Klimor Architects has presented their plan for 'Fields of Tomorrow, ' a pavilion that is set to be built for the Milan expo in 2015. The theme for this event is 'Feeding the Planet - Energy for Life,' which the Israel Pavilion explores.
The design of the pavilion actually looks like a field turned on its side, and it immediately makes one think of agriculture and sustainability. DesignBoom states that "its surface is comprised of modular tiles utilized for optimally cultivating products on a steel frame elevated above ground." This enables the design to come to life in a sense, with water-drip system in place so that plants and more can actually be brought to life while people explore the area and the theme of the expo.
