Architecture firm Kengo Kuma and Associates has worked on the From the Coastline We Progress pavilion. This is defined by a white fabric which carefully draped over a scalloped timber structure made for the Qatar Pavilion taking place at the Expo 2025 Osaka. It features an exhibition that is designed by Dutch design firm AMO and it all features influence from traditional sailing boats.
AMO director Samir Bantal spoke more on the design project, "We chose to tell the story of Qatar through its coastline: the place where people who visited the country would first set foot on land, and from where people departed for either pearling or fishing. Ninety-nine per cent of Qatar's people live, work, and recreate along the coastline. It's where its main infrastructure of economy, culture, and preservation takes place."
