The New Instagram Reshare Feature Lets Users Post Others' Content

Facebook and Twitter have long given users the ability to share others' original content, and Instagram appears to be joining in on the aggressive share tactics with its newly unveiled Instagram reshare feature. Still in beta and only available to a select crop of users, the feature reportedly lets users redistribute feed posts through their Stories.

Instagram users have long made do with workarounds that allowed them to share the original content of other users, such as taking screenshots and then incorporating those images into their Stories. The Instagram reshare feature seems to be a legitimized response to those efforts, and it gives users more freedom when sharing.

The reshare not only lets users post content in their Story, but it lets them crop the original photo and add captions as they see fit.
