These ink products were designed from an unusual ingredient for the purpose of making a unique artistic statement.
Tiger Beer is based in Singapore and the brand decided to collaborate with 'Graviky Labs' in India in order to put this project together. The collaboration involved the creation of a tool that attaches to a car's exhaust pipes and collects the soot, which is then purified and converted into ink. The resulting ink products were dubbed 'Tiger Air-Ink' and come in the form of pens, markers and spray cans -- which were sent to artists who live in areas where pollution is a significant problem.
With certain countries in Asia dealing with dangerous levels of pollution, this project functions as an artistic statement on alternative resources and the importance of tackling the issues relating to environmental instability.
