IKEA France is Normalizing Midday Siestas with Traveling Sleep Pods

IKEA France has rolled out eight electric bikes that two sleeping pods all over Paris. These traveling siesta pods invite Parisians to take a power nap between 1:30 pm and 6:30 pm. This program was developed to contribute to the well-being of Parisians, as sleep - and naps - are essential to living a healthy life.
It is believed that a quick ten-minute nap can replenish the body with energy. Unfortunately, power naps are not a part of French life, and offices often lack dedicated resting spaces for employees. To help normalize napping, IKEA created the IKEA NAP pods. This initiative comes right in time when employees return to work after the summer holidays.
For one week, the IKEA NAP pods will roll around the streets of Paris. These pods are completed with the most comfortable selection of IKEA products - mattresses, cushions, duvets, and pillows.
