Italian Homebrewery Branding

Big Belly Band is a Homemade Beer Boasting Dynamic Packaging

An example of the homebrewery craze, Big Belly Band is a beer brewed by a group of Italian friends. Although just made for the enjoyment of friends and family, Big Belly Band got the professional treatment with a full branding scheme created by London-based graphic designer Daniele Simonelli.

After visiting the Guinness Brewery in Dublin on a group holiday, the friends were inspired to create a brew of their own at home. The IPA is packaged in a classic brown bottle with stopper and comes wrapped in paper brandishing the brand's colors (off-white and pale mustard yellow) as well as a life-sized image of a wrench.

The bottle designs and branding scheme for Big Belly Band stay true to the handcrafted, homemade-inspired values that motivated the group to explore the notion of the homebrewery.
