This Google Doodle Earth Day design is a great way to acknowledge a day that focuses on the environment. Earth Day is celebrated by more than 190 countries worldwide. On this day, people around the world will show their support in many different ways.

You could show your support for the protection of the environment by picking up litter in the park, deciding to grow your own vegetables and even buying reusable coffee and water bottles to reduce waste. These are just a few ways to contribute on Earth Day 2014. The first celebrated Earth Day was in 1970 and it is now coordinated by the Earth Day Network.

In honor of this day, Google decided to create a special, animated doodle on its homepage that showcases a Japanese macaque, a rufous hummingbird, a moon jellyfish and the veiled chameleon. This characters will change every time you click on the Google Doodle Earth Day design.
