Curvaceous Architectural Chandeliers

The Duna and Eve Chandeliers are by Zaha Hadid Design

Zaha Hadid Architects is one of the premier architecture superfirms in the world, and the company's design arm has recently taken its architectural learnings and applied them to home decor with the Duna and Even chandeliers. Designed for Prague-based glass manufacturer Lasvit, the chandeliers make use of the flowing, unpredictable curves that propelled Zaha Hadid to her international fame and fortune as a modern architect.

The Duna chandelier consists of two asymmetrical lobes that seem to explode out from a central column. Vaguely reminiscent of biological forms, the rippled glass exterior gives Duna an almost floral appearance.

The Eve chandelier, on the other hand, has a distinctly industrial look, drawing from the Edison bulbs that have become popular in lighting.
