Los Angeles-based design studio Bianco Light + Space has created the Polaris chandelier which is defined by its dynamic silhouette. The trapezoidal light is made from hand-blown glass materials that come together in a ring which is a part of the firm's Tessellation series. The glass components are connected to a brass fixture which can be adorned with a braided leather rope.
This adds a unique contrast to the light as the geometric design was inspired by repeating patterns. This process aims to blend symmetry and tesselation. The team notes, "The hand-crafted trapezoidal glass cones and architectural brass provide a beautiful directional glow exuding an elemental simplicity." The glass modules have a cone-like shape and it comes in either an etched or glossy finish.
