Creatives at the studio of GRT Architects put a glamorous spin on the classic diner-style interior for an Italian-American restaurant in New York City's West Village. Highlighting rounded corners in the furnishing, as well as the arched doorways and bar display, brass details and iconic checkered marble tiles, GRT Architects are able to elevate the diner-style interior design to the heights of the art deco movement.
In keeping with the experimental and crafty food fusion of American and Italian cuisine at Don Angie, GRT Architects decided on a similar approach for the firm's design project. The result is a stylish blend between the "effortless glamour of Northern Italian [elements]" and "the familiarity of a North New Jersey red-sauce joint."
