Having raised $2,000 through a Kickstarter campaign after setting a goal of only $75, Olen and Harkins transformed the hallway of their apartment into a legendary homage to the cultural relevance of the attack on Nancy Kerrigan. Following the Kickstarter effort, the pair also received donated items to display in the exhibit, including tabloids, skating programs and ticket stubs.

Olen and Harkins were inspired to found the intriguing apartment museum after watching the '30 for 30' documentary 'The Price of Gold' by Nanette Burnstein on the subject.
