Toronto residents may remember the epic filming that happened in the city for Will Smith's anti-hero movie 'Suicide Squad.' Social media was littered with images and videos of bystanders who happened to get a glimpse of the action. There was serious action too, i.e. explosions. Well, Canadians get to experience some of the frenzy again with Suicde Squad's pop-up in Toronto's Distillery District.
The area has been turned into the prison straight from the movie where the anti-hero characters are held. The brand activation is called the 'Belle Eve Penitentiary Fan Experience.' Among the exhibits is the 'Rage Room' where fans can literally smash things with a bat while standing in a glass cube.
Warner Bros. said that the pop-up is a “gesture to Torontonians for their excitement shown during filming.” The Belle Eve Penitentiary Fan Experience is a fun way to get people involved and encourage them to watch the movie in theaters when it's released.
