The 'Lift-ring' battery features a built-in tab system that is bent upwards when installed to identify that it has been used. What's more, this identification system on the 'Lift-ring' battery also enables batteries to be easy to remove rather than requiring users to fumble with the miniature power modules.
The 'Lift-ring' alkaline battery is the design work of Weimin Xu, Tao Xu, Luanqi Li and Minghan Cai, and is a genius fix to a simple everyday problem. What's best, the tab system could be implemented onto the design of existing battery designs.
