Adam Hosmer creates some very disturbing and dark digital art. Overlaid on top of actual photographs, his subject matter is barely recognizable. Manipulated and digitally mutilated, his human subjects have taken on alien-like forms while his still life subjects are as subtly familiar as they are eerily different.
Currently based in Tokyo, Japan, Adam Hosmer concentrates on various situations from indoor shots to outdoor locations. The unifying element of his work is the frayed aesthetic of his models. It is as though they are unraveling right before the viewers' eyes.
Utterly original, Adam Hosmer's work questions reality as well as the way people perceive things. It also comments on the way people project their own personalities. Distorted and unreal, Adam Hosmer's creations force people to look at themselves, their surroundings and others with fresh eyes.
