From in-flight entertainment systems to luxury spas and the relaunch of major cruise ships -- the travel industry certainly got busy rebuilding this month.
In fact, new airport and airline technologies represent a large percentage of the trends included in this collection. For example, AirPortr teamed up with SwissPort to launch a new off-airport luggage processing system, and Inmarsat introduced 'OneFi,' an interactive customer experience platform (CXP) designed for airlines. However, one of the most innovative products to be released within this space came from the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, which introduced new food delivery robots.
In addition, there appeared to be a significant uptick in apparel brands releasing trendy and inventive travel bags. JJJHound partnered with PORTER to release a collection of stylish shoulder bags designed for travel. Meanwhile, a space-saving, foldable suitcase called 'LITO' acquired major traction on Kickstarter.
