Historically Rich Travel Accommodations

Yoav Messer's New Hotel is Rich in History and Nightlife

A unique hotel designed by Yoav Messer Architect takes the shape of a pile of stacked books. Named the Ink Hotel, this travel accommodation sits in the heart of Tel Aviv and consists of a five-story building that houses 50 suites, a restaurant, a lounge, and a rooftop pool.

The design firm hoped to create a space where history and individuality can harmoniously coexist. Yoav Messer Architect designed the building to reflect the site's existing structure and Tel Aviv's unique architectural history. The site sits on the grounds of the historical IL Peretz Library built in the 50s. To pay homage to this cultural space, the design takes the form of a pile of books. Each story is asymmetrically stacked upon the other, and the blinds chosen for the windows emulate pages.

The underground restaurant and rooftop pool lend a hip aesthetic, while the architecture speaks to the site's unique history.
