Summit One Vanderbilt, a multi-level entertainment observatory in the heart of New York City, is soon to open to the public. Designed by Kohn Pederson Fox (KPF), this four-lever entertainment observatory offers a euphoric and multisensorial experience. The space is roughly 65,000 square feet and features an art installation, a cafe, and a lounging area.
The moment visitors enter the building, they are confronted by an immersive experience. Glass elevators are positioned on the exterior of the building and lead the guests to the tallest exterior vantage point in all of midtown Manhattan. Once the viewers enter the observatory, the viewers stand on transparent glass that sits 1,000 feet above the prestigious Madison Avenue. The observatory is entirely built of glass - from floor to ceiling. Once viewers have had an overload of the senses, they are invited to leave the glass observatory and enjoy the Snøhetta-designed cafe.
