teamLab is bringing its first permanent U.S. museum to OCVIBE in Anaheim, California, offering art lovers a year-round place to experience the collective's interactive installations when it opens in 2030. The works are designed to change as people move through them, making visitors part of the piece.
The purpose-built building will cover about 110,000 square feet and is being designed by smith-clementi with dark galleries for the art. OCVIBE's first phase will open in 2027, years before the museum's planned debut. A light-responsive exterior gives the museum a changing presence before guests step inside.
A permanent U.S. site in Anaheim widens access for people who previously had to travel abroad or catch a temporary showing. Placing the museum within a larger dining, entertainment and public-space district turns the visit into a longer cultural stop, not a single exhibition trip.
