GSM Project Partners with Justine Emard on Pulsations

— August 13, 2025 — Art & Design
GSM Project, an internationally recognized experience design studio, has collaborated with visual artist Justine Emard to create 'Pulsations' — a permanent exhibition at the France Pavilion for Expo 2025 in Osaka.

This immersive installation transforms the pavilion's theme 'A hymn to love' into a multi-sensory journey exploring connections between humanity, technology, and nature through the unifying metaphor of the pulse. Drawing inspiration from the Japanese legend of Akai Ito — which translates to the red thread of fate — the exhibition features eight synchronized tableaux blending historical artifacts like Rodin sculptures and Notre-Dame relics with contemporary digital art, all choreographed to a continuous musical heartbeat created in collaboration with IRCAM.

The ambitious design aims to accommodate 2,500 visitors hourly while maintaining an intimate, emotionally resonant experience that celebrates Franco-Japanese cultural connections through conceptual islands linking both nations' heritage sites and ecosystems.
