Immersive Dome Exhibit

The Lumisphere Experience Unveils a Three-Dome Climate-Focused Experience

The Lumisphere experience introduces a three-dome climate-focused experience at the Museum of Tomorrow by presenting an 8,000-square-foot environment built for projected media, spatial sound and visitor interaction. The layout includes an entry dome for orientation, a central dome for large-scale visual content and a final dome that uses interactive tools to let visitors generate images and statements about preferred future scenarios. The structure is positioned on the museum’s plaza and is designed as a temporary, transportable system that can operate in outdoor cultural settings. The project aligns with programming around global climate events and frames public engagement as a core component of environmental storytelling.

The exhibit organizes circulation so visitors can move between domes without interruption, allowing the sequence to function as a continuous experience. Each dome uses lightweight materials and modular construction to simplify installation and removal. The concept emphasizes participatory design by linking immersive media with civic themes and encouraging audiences to reflect on ecological outcomes through guided interaction.
