When I was little, my mom put glow-in-the-dark star and planet stickers on the bedroom ceiling. I remember how fascinated my brothers and I were at the magical twinkling of stars after bedtime lights were out.

People are endlessly playful and inventive when it comes to brightening up the dark of night, or taking advantage of dark venues or blacklights that cause some substances to glow in the dark.
