Apparently emotions are something that can be applied to any and everything.

Implications - The gloomy alternative rock scene of the 90s was considered cool, but since then, emo has gotten a bad reputation. However, the term become a pop cultural sensation with movies, emoticons, and a whole new generation of music that uses "emo" to attract young teens. With the Anne Rice vampiric romanticism making its way back into the mainstream, the entertainment industry will profit largely from the youth of this generation.
