Post-COVID travel will look very different than what consumers are accustomed to

Trend - Even before a vaccine for COVID-19 is available, countries around the world will reopen in order to restart their economies. This includes travel, however airlines will have to re-think operations in order for people to remain safe. Once lacking consistent hygiene protocols and cramming people into planes, airlines will have to focus more on space and hygiene as travel picks back up.

Insight - The psychological mark that COVID-19 has left on consumers and businesses alike will likely remain for long after there's a vaccine for the virus. People's lives have been upended, and the new habits they're forming around cleanliness and physical distancing may remain as part of people's routines once the crisis passes. This impact will force businesses to take into account new consumer habits as they reopen or ramp up service and production in a post-COVID world.
