16 Icelandic Innovations

After reading about how the global financial meltdown is affecting Iceland and causing an unprecedented banking failure that has driven the UK into threatening to take legal action against Iceland to recover deposits, I turned to Trend Hunter’s library to learn more about this island country in Northern Europe.

I was pleasantly surprised to find many innovations that originate in Iceland. Our talented Icelandic Trend Hunter Hjörtur Smárason is accountable for most of these fantastic trends.

The Icelandic innovations range from color changing glass buildings and ice divings to music instrument and video innovations by Bjork, one of my favorite singers.
