Indian office Iksoi Studio has just remodelled what was once a factory located in the western state of Gujarat into the Mana architectural firm and workshop. The new headquarters are rooted in influences of "memories, familiar forms, and emotional attachments of the past." Dhawal and Mansi worked at the studio and have since created Mana.
Mansi Mistry, who has since left the studio but is a partner at Studio Saransh explains the design concept, stating "The design inspiration is drawn from memories, familiar forms, and emotional attachments of the past." Mistry adds "We decided to retain the material but give it a very contrasting warm colour. And that is how these blocks became pink, finished with a mix of cement and lime."
