During the first commercial break of the recent Arrow season finale, viewers got their first preview of CW's The Flash. Starring Grant Gustin as Barry Allen, the pilot was picked up on May 8th. This crossover television show happened after Gustin guest starred as Allen on an earlier episode this season on Arrow. Previously Gustin appeared as a reoccurring character on Glee, proving he has a sterling silver voice to go with his fast feet.

In honor of CW's The Flash, which will be airing Tuesday nights, this collection of superhero innovations all feature the classic DC Comics graphic novel character.
